Filming Your Hunt?????????

i have been filming my hunts myself for about 3 years now and i have a little problem. problem is, that i always have to shut the camera off and put it away once the deer gets to within 100 yards, and get ready and take the shot. so i am looking for a camera mounting bracket that i can mount onto my bow. i have heard about these but don't know much about them, so therefore i need some help! here are my questions:

1. where can i pick one of these up?
2. do they have a tendency to add too much torque to your bow?
3. my bow is extremely quiet, and i am assuming that adding this onto the bow will certainly make it louder, but how much louder?
4. is the weight of the bracket and camera an issue?

I'd stay away from anything mounted on the bow. Vman has a trick....he uses a Real Tree EZhanger (long) and a window mount for a tripod. Screws directly into the camera body and is small lightweight. I am using one for the first time this year. Best part about it is it can be placed above/below you. With the newer camera s you can tilt the LCD screen towards you and leave it panned out and it will not interfere with any of your hunt. I am hoping to take a doe using this method. Good luck to you.

Get a buddy to go along with you to film. You will have better footage and better accuracy (not worrying about making sure the shot is on tape vs concentrating on the shot itself)

Ya from what i hear i wouldn't use a bow mount. I did see they had some little digital in cabelas that mounts on your bow looks like it might be weight efficient and not cause many problems, but at 400 bucks it is not cheap. The tree pods works the best, there a several varieties, otherwise get a cameraman. Makes those sits in the tree not quite as long and it is a good way to introduce someone to the outdoors.

My buddies and I film alot of our hunts and we just take turns on the camera and the bow. It is alot of fun and like mentioned before it is nice to have someone else there with you for those all day hunts.

Just buy a gorrilla camera arm that straps to the tree and position it where you think the shot will take place and make sure you back the zoom off all the way, a wide angle lens would also help here.
