Finally Connected

Well, it's not the buck I've been after, but it's a good buck for my first ever bow kill. I missed an easy shot (20 yards or less) at a wider buck that had much more mass but very short tines 5 minutes before this guy walked out (shot at 30 yards). If you check out my Avatar, this guy is a twin to that deer, although the deer in that pic is a 9, but they both have that little nub coming off the right side eye guard. I shot this buck in his right side, just behind the front leg and the arrow came out in front of his left leg. Only ran 40 yards (and even towards the truck). He also has another set of holes right under the spine that go clear through him mid way back. It just was not this deer's week.

I meant to take one of those angry archer photos everybody loves so much, but didn't have the heart to do it.

Ironwood, The "Angry Archer" comes from pic's that people take of their harvest and don't smile for it. I've seen a couple posts on this site that people have commented that the Archer took a great buck "Wonder why he's so angry". That's where it came from.
