Usually turkey season for me gets over within the first week or so.Not bragging just very lucky to have a great home farm.
I've tagged a bird every year since 1988.Until this year. It started off pretty rough for me.Some of you will remember my horrific snake story.

I finally worked up enough nerve to start going back out around the start of 4th season.I had multiple encounters with toms but they would always skirt my dekes.I decided to put the PB away and go with just 2 hens.
Finally on Sat. of the last weekend I had this guy come running into the dekes.I really think the key was to put the PB away and not call much.
(Good 4th season stragedy).
I have to comment on DB customer service. They sent me a hub and 4 rods for nothing. They laughed at my story.Great people.
So me in my repaired blind and a couple of old crappy looking hen dekes
were able to elude the snakes long enough to shoot this guy.
Sorry for the crappy pics.I recruited the neighbor kid to take them with my
phone camera.
