First case of CWD confirmed in MI

This was released yesterday and is right in what use to be my "back yard". Scary shit. I know enough about the disease to be really scared of it, but what I don't understand is how a random case can just pop up like this. I can tell you this area is no where near any deer farm. I don't think it is illogical to say if it can happen there it can happen anywhere.

Just when I thought MI couldn't get any worse!! The whole state technically is a deer disaster zone to begin with. . That does suck. Poor guys trying to eak any bit of "decent hunting" in MI just keep getting kicked while they are down. Bummer.

South central MI is not where this needs to show up. IN and OH are within two counties of this.

I hunted the exact area. It is the densest deer area I have ever hunted in any state. It was nothing to see 100 deer in a set (quantity, not quality). That being said it should be a lot easier to contain a hot zone than an area like rural Iowa. They need to go in with snipers and try to exterminate everything within 5+ miles. That's how serious I think this disease is.
