First deer with the pistol!!

i took this button buck over the november antlerless season. it was at about 45 yards, and only ran another 50 after the shot. i was pretty pumped to get my first one with my pistol!!

Sweet! I am in the market for a dual purpose pistol and hope to harvest a deer with it when I do. Congrats!
 
Ain't that a hoot! I was just looking through my pics of years past and saw the shot of my 1st pistol kill. I don't remember being more excited about any deer I've ever shot! Congrats!
 
Congrats! One of these days I'll try that. Cousin of mine missed one a few years back with a pistol at 15yds....3 times....
 
Hey, My hat is off to anyone that can get a deer with a handgun. I managed to get my first one a couple years ago during late MZ season. I was very happy also.

I am no handgunner and a little error at the end of the barrel goes a long ways. I have more confidence in my longbow.
 
45 yards is a good shot with a pistol, congrats. I have a Ruger GP100 in a .357 with a red dot sight on it I use and have shot 2 does with it. I will carry it with me late muzzleloader season again this year and try for a buck if I get the chance, I love hunting with a pistol. :grin:

Give it a try Mike, I think you will like it since it's mainly just a close range thing, not that you can't shoot a hundred yards though if your good with a handgun. :way:
