First Food Plot

This year we decided to try some food plots. First of all I wanted to thank everyone here for all of your help and advice. Even though I am fairly new to the forum and this is my first post I have been lurking in the shadows sort of speak for awhile now. just thought I would share some photos of the progress we have made! To say the least I am pumped to see what this learning experience experiment of a plot turns into and I can't wait until next spring to improve upon any mistake we may have made.

Welcome to the site, I wish my first food plot looked half as good as yours! :D It is quite rewarding to watch the deer use the plots that your hard work has created and I can see that you should have some nice success this fall. It looks like you have some nice equipment too, that is a huge plus.

Since you have a FEL I would recommend knocking out the shrubs/scrub trees in your plot and even making your plot a little larger. :D My first plots had some scrubs in them too, but I noticed a difference in things growing better once I removed the trees too.

I would really encourage you to read as many of the threads in the Dbltree's Corner section as you can. The information there is very useful and will help you tremendously.
