Headed out to the stand tonight got out of the truck at 4:30 and it started raining. Well I figured I was already out so I headed to the stand, got settled in for it to start rainging harder. It fianally quit about 20 after 5 so I tickled the tines a little, had 2 little scrappers come in right in and check me out. While I was watching them a doe just appeared 10 yards from me, I'm watching her and I see some movement out of the corner of my eye and here he come on a string I grab my bow off the hanger draw back and he turns broadside at 18 yards I settle in and the arrow finds it's mark he runs in the timber and a couple seconds past and I hear that unmistakable crash, only made it fifty yards. I thinks he's a 4 1/2 year old buck not the biggest rack out there but I will be glad to take him anyday. Good luck to everyone it's starting to get good, I'm just gonna have to load up on doe tags and put some meat in the freezer.
