First Rub of the Season

I went out this afternoon to check my VCAM and found a rub. About 60 yards further up the hill I found a second one. Considering we had some real heavy rain in the past two days and the bark shavings were undisturbed and not washed away, coupled with the fact that the bucks tracks were all around in the mud, I'd guess they were made in the past 24 hours. I was kinda surprised to see them at first but then...DUH!

... this is Labor Day weekend. Where did the Summer go?

MB&c and I have seen two hard horns. One over a week ago and the other I saw this past Tuesday.
