Flash troubles? Any ideas?

Vman, have you ever seen this before? I had a bunch of decent night photos, then 38 pics of this same little buck. The camera is set for 30 seconds. At first I thought the flash wasn't charging up fast enough but even the first pic of the buck was bad. I didn't notice anything in front of the flash when I grabed the cam today.

whats the camera?
My guess is its a digital and its focused on the weed stem

Don't know. I traded cards and it's out there at work.

I have had some bad flash distance lately with a D380 as well. I would be interested in any thing you may turn up as the problem.

Vmsn, You must of been correct! That's why you make the big bucks.

The flash has been just fine as long as there isn't a weed for the cam to focus on.
