I'd sure like to find a 16 ft wide flat bottom boat. I want to make a bowfishing boat but with a removeable platform so I can just go fishing. With or without motor but it has to have a trailer. Does anyone have one or know of one for sale. I don't want a garage queen but I don't want an anchor either.
 
I've been watching www.craigslist.com lately, missed a sweet deal on a boat last week.:( I'm looking for something to drag up on the bank of the pond and leave it there when it's not in use, so a small jon boat would be about ideal for me.

My boys are looking for a carp boat as well, they shot a 47 pounder last week, it was a record for our lake, and it made the front page of the local paper.
 
Take a drive in my neck of the woods. Flats are are like empty beer cans around here. Dime a doz...........:)

I have a little two man bass buggy like the pic that JNR posted and it is quite stable. You could easily stand a shoot a bow from it.

I don't use it often, but I have used it successfully to stand in and flycast. It is quite fun to hook a big bluegill on the flyrod and have it pull the boat around a bit. :D
 
I just found an extra wide and deep flat bottom with a 94 Evinrude 30hp setting in the weeds asked the guy if he wanted to sell it and it now sits in my driveway. The motor had been in a storage unit for 3 years. Put the motor on tonight and 3 pulls that baby fired up and ran like a champ. Had it in a barrel and let it run for awhile ran it in both forward and reverse. I now just need to get my deck built for the front and it will be a complete fish wacking machine. If you see one sittin in the weeds dont be afraid to ask it may have a motor to complete the package and you may find yourself a real bargain especially in this economy.
 
I found a 14 ft fiberglass flatbottom boat in Waterloo. Guy wants $300 bucks, and it comes with the trailer. Would be a great bowfishing boat. Let me know if somone is interested and Ill get ya hooked up.
 
Yeh, I'm still looking. Called on several that weren't quite was I was looking for and missed a few that were sold (dang). The good deals don't last long.
