Fletching Question

Ok, I'm fletching some arrows with feathers, with a left helical. I'm using a bitzenburger jig. I bought the left clamp. Do I need to move the magnets? I see there is a top and bottom adjustment on it. I've only done straight fletching in the past.

Set your clamp with an arrow and feather in it. Look to see how well the feather quill contacts the shaft. You can use those adjustments to get a little more offset in the helical and to get better quill/shaft contact.

yeah. because if you just leave it straight your going to have contact issues.

Roger that, I was fiddling with it last night and that's what I was thinking. Just didn't know if there was an exact setting it should be at.
