Fletching?

What's the latest and greatest on arrow fletching? I switched over to 2 inch Blazers a few years ago and have been very happy, but IF I'm getting new arrows it's time to get the fletching jigs out and perhaps there's something better? One thing I don't like about the Blazers are how stiff and tall they are. They sometimes don't clear my rest properly.

Fusions and AAE Max Hunter are very high quality. Fletching with maximum helical is easier with the AAE and the adherence trumps the blazers IMO. Stiffer is good as it will be more forgiving and has very similar effects to the longer fletchings. I have been shooting the FOBS lately which is a different a far more frightening conversation but i don't have to fletch anymore and even when broken STILL fly perfect. The are really amazing. I used to nick one fletching and have to do all three again. Drove me crazy and then decided to try these and they are impressive.

Need a drop away but other than that they just pop on and off :)

Fusions for me. Cant get past the look of the FOBS yet but bought some last month and am going to try them this summer.

They are ugly as sin  But once you have clearance off the drop away, it is SHOCKING how accurate they are. Have less clearance issues than fletching ironically as they aren't as wide or high, 1" circumference.

Let me know what you think Limb if you end up trying them.

Considering going back to feathers. The only down fall I can see is wet weather. Overall, they show blood better, fly better and stabilize quicker IMO. Also, easier to see.

I've never even heard of these FOBS before, then again I've been brow deep in diapers for 2 years. Heard good things about Fusions but havnt noticed if they're lower profile than Blazers.

Ha ha. I think you'd like them Ryan :) I fought it to, but no more glue, nicked fletchings causing erratic flight etc. Plus, the pop off when you go through a target, or can pull off, pull your BH through, and back on again. I just don't look at them :)

I think they are about $20 for 12?

They pop off? Are they magnetic or something? How do you put them back on in the exact same spot each time?

Blazers are ugly enough IMO:D
FOBS-Like tying to hide a wookie in a beauty pagent.
Never say never though....never tried em so I wont knock the performance.

I have shot Fobs before. They do fly great but they changed my anchor point and I just couldn't get used to it. the corner of the fob would touch my cheek and it just felt odd. Even more odd with a face mask. I have a few laying around Muddy if you want to try one. I was using Gold Tips with them.

Knock on wood though, I have never had an adhesion problem with Blazer vanes...What glue are you all using with the adhesion issues? I have been using fletch tite premium on blazer wraps and no issues at all.
