Flowering Clover:

I have some nice tall clover that is flowering. I know when clover gets to that state it becomes woody and tough,,less desirable to deer. But should I let it flower a bit, and have some of the flowers go to seed before I cut it.? I sometimes read letting clover go to seed reseeds itself some.

I do both. If u wanna split hairs, leave a few strips with seed heads.
I let mine go to seed because I run out of time 90% of the time. But- I mow it to keep it palatable and desirable and weed free. But ya- letter go once in a while for seed and can't hurt.

I do the same thing.

I too cut some & leave some, mostly because my wife wants the blooms for her beehives. Gotta keep them (& her) happy too. ;) Anyway, the clover seems to do just fine that way.
