Food Plot Planning Question

When you guys set up your food plots (assuming you're using more than one crop), do you have a method to where you plant what in a given plot? i.e. if using something like dbltree's mix in strips/blocks and wanting to hunt bow/shotgun/late season using the same stand, is there a certain way the plot should be set up to take advantage of the different plants during each season? Basically, what is the time frame that deer will use each food source? Thinking that whatever the deer will use in early season should be closest to the stand due to shorter range of shooting. Or will the deer use all food sources each season?

Then, same question for a corn and bean plot.

I plant Paul's WR and clover mix close for early season bow and the brassica mix further then when possible move stands on the other side of the plots when you rotate the next year. Sometimes its hard to do if you don't have multiple stand sites on both sides

There are many variables to this, but the best, short answer I can think of is to really try to get your stand sites back off of the food plot proper and over travel lanes to the food plots. (Much easier said than done in some cases and yes, I have a couple of stands overlooking food plots too.)

Thanks for the help guys! A lot of our food plot areas are open field edges/corners with only 1 or 2 sides where I can get a stand. Guess we'll just see how it goes.
