Food Plot Question/Help

Looking for some advice on planting a small food plot. I have a nice small area that is perfect for planting a food plot. the problem is it is way back in the back of a huge field so my only assess is before the crops come up. Last year I broadcasted a mixture of clovers, turnips, and rape. Only a handful of turnips came up. This year I plan to disc it up and put a little more work into getting it seeded.

My question is what should I plant that is a good food source that I can plant this early and hunt over in oct/nov.

Remember I have no assess after the crops are up other than walking a mile around and through the crops which will be all corn this year.

I agree clover will last all season if the deer dont rip it apart too bad. Alphapha could be an option too. you dont need to mow it your first year either. and you may not need to if the deer pressure it.
