Food Plot

Is it to late to do a food plot? I have some seed from the conservation department and I also bought some Imperial whitetail clover. I would like to do a mix of all this seed together in one plot but don't know if it is to late to plant in southern Missouri.

Headgear, I would wait til fall for your clover plots because the temps are getting to where if you don't get frequent moisture the plants will struggle and the weeds will be the only thing growing. You could put in some Round-Up ready beans to loosen up the soil in your plots and also to allow you to kill off all weeds that show. When fall comes just seed right through the beans, lime, and fertilize and your set! Just add a little rye and winter wheat for a cover crop to hunt over and your clover/legume plot should be established. Just some thoughts! T$
