Hello all,
Congrats to everyone for their success this fall! I have a rather unique question for those who would like to respond. I will be moving from Alaska this coming June back to the midwest. As of right now my wife and I haven't made any definite plans on where we want to move to..although we are narrowed down to Iowa, Minnesota, or Wisconsin. (boy, what a small area huh?) Of course my main concern on moving is what area is going to produce the best deer hunting for us, followed by where I can find a job. You know..priorities. Luckily my wife is just as into hunting as I am, so this is a concern to her as well.
I know most of you love where you live and there is great deer hunting all over the state, but if you could move to areas you've heard of for consistently producing big deer and lots of them, where would that be? Stay in Iowa or move to a different state? How about areas with accessibility as far as public ground? Is there a better part of the state than others in your opinion?
The reason I said this was kind of a unique question is because I'm sure you're just not going to divulge your great deer hunting areas to another die hard, but I just thought I'd pry your brains to see what kind of ideas I'd get that I haven't already thought about. Thanks! By the way...this forum is awesome.
