I've been stopping and chatting with an elderly, kind of eccenric, intellectual type retired couple that own 280 acres of all woods that borders the property I hunt. Never in all the times I stopped did I once ever ask them if I could hunt thier land. I did ask them once if I could park my truck next to thier driveway one time tho.

Anyway, I thought yesterday was as good a time as any to finally ask them so I put on my best behavior suit, turned on the charm switch, and asked. After several questions from them which I politely answered they said I could hunt. YAHOOOOOOOO.

Thier woods holds the highest percentage of the deer around that area. I can watch the deer leave thier beds in that timber too feed. I've also flown over there in the winter and it's just loaded with em. The woods is alot more overgrown with cover so I really don't know how much of it can really be hunted but I do know exactly where a couple stands are going for now. At least I have many, many more options each day.

Congrats on the new land. Sounds like the 4 years of visits were well worth it. Might even be a great place for sheds this winter.
