? for hunters

Kevin, No I haven't, but I have been seeing alot of them when ML hunting. I made up my mind last night that I am going to start busting them when I see them. I usually don't hunt them until after deer season is over.

Getting ready to...As soon as I find a roadkill and a little snow, I will be all over it. I may try it with a predator call as well just to see if I can get a couple in.

i got one right before christmas. mangy s.o.b. haven't been seeing as many as usuall, could be a down year around here, or they are just fat and lazy from cleaningup gut piles.

As soon as the snow flies we will be hitting the yotes hard.

I've been trying, cant make it happen, had 2 coming in a couple weeks ago,i hit my call-they just looked-turned-went.I havnt hunted them b4,but im out trying---31st and 1st was out before sun up,5am to 7am,waiting for them to come by and hit bait,it seems they only hit it when im not there.i'll get'em one of these times.

I'm planning on giving yote hunting a try this year. I'm going to wait until we get a good snow then take the electronic call my wife got me for Christmas and her dad's 30-30 and give it a go. Seen a roadkilled one last week near Iowa City.

Nail a rabbit to a fence post, that will surely bring them in after all the distress.

We put a few snares out this year. Two days ago I went to pull them and found one snare pulled apart and every bush close by all tore up. Cheap snare made with a crimped nut at the end of the cable. It didn't hold. When Zach is back to 100% after his tonsil removal they'll go back out.
