Went out this morning to check the cameras and go for a drive. It was one of those mornings that everything had a layer of frost on it. The sun peaked out for a bit and I got this photo.

Great photo! Looks like a huge cottonwood. I really like the way you put the main subject off center. Good composition.
We had the same thing here on top of fresh snow which was on top of a heavy ice storm. I got some awsome backgound shots for future paintings. Every place I looked was incredible. Only the big guy above can do work like that.

That picture makes me homesick! I sure do miss the sight of real trees since most of the trees up here are spruce. Nice picture!

If only it was light out I could see the frost here, Just drove by the grocery store and the temp gauge said -52 and thats with no wind. Its gonna get colder...

One of the main power plants went down,We had power outagages, but nothing like just north of fairbanks. Haul road has trucks stuck in a few spots blocking travel and absolute blizzards and no power and I'm thinking temps are down there in the -50 plus wind factors. It is an absolute state of an emergency.
