Full boat

Set up the blind near this nest the other day. The hen had patience, she stayed until I got set up and comfortable.

When she made her get away I knew she must of had a reason to sit so tight. Figured I better pull up shop and leave that area alone. Was a good place to set up, shame she had to nest there.

I've accidently found several nests this year. Sure sign of a nest when a hen scares the crap out of you at about 15 feet!

Earlier I didn't take the time to count the eggs...WOW! I would have to say that is a full boat!!!

I thought they would lay a clutch of 12 to 14 eggs?

I have not yet run across a turkey nest this year. I usually do, so I will keep looking.

There were 20 total. One was lying a few inches outside the nest, so I put it back with the rest. Don't like to tamper, but seemed the thing to do.
