The blue rocks were safe tonight, but it sure was fun!
Earl E Nove...mber and myself headed out with a thrower and a box of rocks for some "wing shooting" practice. We didn't break any rocks but it was amazing how close we got on them. Nice thing is most the rocks survived for another day.
Anybody else here ever tried this? I highly recommend it.

Shot was much closer than it looks. The arrow is allready past the rock and on it's way down.

Actually I have never tried breaking “Blue Rock” with a bow and arrow.

Looks easy though, I usually have someone throw aspirin in the air for me at 30 yards. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Since I can never find the aspirin, I assume I must have shattered each one. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

Jay you & Earl should try it, gives you a big boost of confidence. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

I have enough issues with self confidence when it comes to shooting bow. I dont need to start that, I'll never be happy with my ability.
Does look like fun though:)

awesome photo jay...I can vision the trajectory and I'd say you were like I am with the shotgun, low and a little behind. With the shotgun I still manage to put a bb or three into most clays, but my buddies call me the "corner-pattern-King"...and they hate playing annie oakley with me when I'm on point b/c I usually leave a big enough piece for them to shoot at after my few bb's split the clay.

SO, did ya whack any? I remember seeing Tred smoke a pheasant on Versus last fall...regardless of it being Tred and anyone's thoughts of him...I thought it was an awesome shot.

No, didn't hit any.............yet. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif
I probably shot my first pheasant on the fly with bow before Tred knew what end goes where. And I've never heard of him shooting a dove on the fly. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif

I have tried shooting at a foam disc that was tossed up in the air. I did pretty well.Hunted pheasants over a dog, came real close but never scored.I have to try it.
