Has or is anyone going to try out the new G-5 broadhead called the Striker ??

G5 Striker

I tried out the Montecs late last season and the Montec flew great but I was not satisfied with my attempts to sharpen the Montec. Hoping the Striker will be an improvement on the blade sharpness with the flight characteristics of the Montec.

I was wondering the same. I used the Montecs last year and loved how they flew. Recovered two deer within 100 yds., but wasn't very happy with blood trail. Don't know if it was the nature of my shots, or the sharpness, etc.

Brent,
G5 has a new sharpening process this year and claim the Montecs will be razor sharp out of the package. With that said I believe the striker will be a great head as well. But I will stick with my jak hammers.

Got my first package of Strikers in the mail today. Blades are very sharp. Ferrule point is also pretty sharp and seems very strong. Hope they fly good cause everything else seems right.

BJohnson, did you shoot your new Striker heads yet? I think I'm going to try these out this fall and was curious what you thought of them. Has anyone else shot them yet?

Finally shot some G-5 Strikers yesterday. I had not shot in a while so I was not expecting too much but the Strikers flew on target. I stuck a few through my overused BH target and had to pull them lightly back out of the turf and I was impressed with the edge that was still present on both the ferrule point and the blades. I don't think the Striker is going to provide me with any excuses to use this fall if I fail to get the job done.

Anyone else tried them yet ??
