Ive been out quite a few mornings the last couple of weeks yote hunting, theyve really been gobblin good on the nice mornings and are still flocked up hard. Theres a lot of places in the timber where there just arent any birds yet because theyre all flocked up.

I know I'm Jones'n when I get out all my stuff only to make a few calls, blow the dust off and put it away again. Yes, it's already been done on more than one occasion this year.

I thought that maybe.....until I blew it up and you can see the strands of beard. I have another pic I'll post of the same two birds from a better angle. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif

These two birds have been regulars in the fall/rye, winter/wheat plot......

I zoomed in on the original photo and he has great spurs and a very bushy beard. Thinking of calling him ZZ-Top. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

I know a bunch of gobbies this morning that were on the brink of brain-damage as there were seriously depriving themselves of some major oxygen!!!

I love it!
