GlenDel Full Rut Target

Anyone have a Glen Dell FR target? How does it hold up and is it worth the extra $ over the other foam targets?

Ask my buddy and you would not want one. He loses all kind of inserts and breaks the tips out of his carbons regularly.

i have heard the same thing, but, my dad has one and never has any problems......course i guess he'd have to shoot it to experience problems!! /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

they look nice but are a bit pricey for my likes

I've got one and this will be the third season using it. I keep it outside all the time and shoot into it pretty much every day from May through November. I'm still on the first insert. I'd say it holds up pretty well. I'll add that I don't shoot broadheads into it very much at all-they seem to tear the crap out of it. I wouldn't be afraid to drop the money on one.

I think there is a metal bar that goes through the lower belly of the GlenDell for stabilization isn't there? Or else in the top of it?

That's the rumor I've heard on why they break arrows a lot of times.

Ya, I am not to crazy about the price but thought that it would be worth it if others have had good experience with it. I have a black hole block style target and it has taken allot of arrows and is still in great shape being 5 years old. I have shot the crap out of my McKenzie deer target and am in need of a new insert again for the third time, so I was thinking with what I dropped on the McKenzie a few years ago and the three inserts I could have bought a glendel, and if it holds up as well as my black hole target, I would be happy. Thanks for the comments guys, and anyone else with something to say about them, keep em coming, I don't have my mind made up yet.

Good target, just don't miss the block insert as there is indeed a bar running through the lower bell of the target, no clue how I know about this /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Anyhow, my dad and brother both have them, both leave them out year round and they are going on year #4, I am amazed at how good that thing holds up. The insert is a block 4x4 and it holds up 1000x better than the regular block especially when flingin broadheads. Anyhow, watch your local stores as I have seen them at decent prices this time of the year in the past (50 bucks off)
