Was outside this morning throwing wood in the burner at about 6:20 and a group of toms were hammering like crazy! So of course I had to give some voice owl hoots and they hammered back at those! I'm getting pumped... never heard them this early
 
I think you need to delete this threat now......................hahaha now I wanna go out and play around in the morning!
 
I saw two strutting off 380 Friday morning. Seen some big bosses today while shed hunting. Can't wait.
 
I have been looking forward to shooting one in the teeth since January 10th
 
A colleague is letting me and my family have his cabin in the mountains of SW New Mexico (rent: case of beer) where he has big toms strutting in his yard and plenty of turks w/in walking distance. 2 OTC tags in NM, family weekend in a cabin, my daughter's 7th birthday, her going with me on a couple of hunts...yeah, I'm excited for late April to get here!!
 
Yesterday I asked my wife if she gobbled at me, then a said sorry I just have turkey on my brain
 
been hearing them consistently every morning now behind my house.. makes it worth getting up early to throw wood in the ole Hardy boiler
 
Seen a flock of more than 50 birds at one of my spots. They tend to leave this area by the time season rolls around:(
