Got my muzzy buck back

I made a post earlier this year regarding what this buck scores. I still am not sure, but it's got lots of memories nonetheless. Here's the story.
I was on some of our favorite public land trying to fill my tag with my grandpas muzzleloader. I wasn't concerned on what I shot, as long as it wasn't a little yearling. I went with my buddy who also needed a tag to be filled, we are both in high school so weekends were our best bet and we were running out of time. He always used to sit and wait during morning or evening for deer. I took a different way. I never was all too patient, whenever I sat bad things occurred, no deer seen. For almost 8 trips that happened. From shotgun hunting I always liked to walk and stalk, or be a driver of the hunt. So that's what we did, my conclusion was that we will have more chances at deer and with muzzleloaders we can reach out in the woods aways.
This place has a north access and a south access. We came in on the south. Buddy shot a decent doe. Saw a hand full of deer, mostly does and a couple little bucks. His deer was a closer drag from the north side so we backed out and drove around the section. We entered the woods on an old loggin road. And walked back deep into the woods after his deer. I still needed my deer, and as we are walking my buddy goes," look there's two big deer one look like it has antlers too." This was about 130 yards. Note: I never shot my grandpas muzzleloader. I asked grandpa if it was accurate and that was good enough.
One deer stops with an opening about the size of a trash can lid trough the woods. I kneel down, take aim, grandpas got a Nikon scope, put the crosshairs on its neck, only shot I had, and shot. It fell right over dead. We take off after it in the snow, (all this time I thought it was a big doe, couldn't see any antlers) and we get up about 15 yards from it I go, wow it's a nice one. We walk right up to it, I looked at my buddy, he looks at me and I go, it's got antlers.
And to top it off, there's lots of irony of this deer. Before season I told everybody I'm holding out for a big buck. My cousin shot a small 8 point
And I shot a forky shotgun season, so he always said , hahaha I got a bigger buck than you. I told him you just wait. It was the first bullet I ever fired out of grandpas muzzleloader.
Thanks for reading.
