Well Santa came and he brought me a new muzzleloader. It is a Optima Magnum. It is actually pretty nice. Well I thought so. It is all camo and has the hole in the stock for the thumb grip. Anyone else seen this gun? If so what do you think of it?

Sounds like you were good this year. Optimas are pretty good guns, shoot good.

You will really like the thumbhole grip. I have a TC Omega with that grip, and I feel that I'm much steadier on my shots, now. Have some fun with it !

Well, today we went out and did a push. A decent buck (3.5) came out. I wasn't going to shoot but wanted to know how it shot. Well I missed but it does shoot very smooth. I like it a lot. I am thinking tomorrow will be better since I am starting to get the hang of hitting moving targets with it. Kinda wished that it was still shotgun season otherwise that buck would have been down! Time will only tell and I just need to keep shooting it and get comfortable with it and I should be fine.
