I had a great hunt with my 15 year old nephew during second season. We had hunted hard over the weekend with no shots. His mother gave him the go ahead to skip school on Tuesday since he had perfect attendence. It poured for 35 minutes at gobble time but then it stopped. Had multiple gobbles to our east immediately after the rain stopped. Finally, 4 big long beards came in to the set up. I had the video camera running while he was trying to get a shot off. It took forever but he finally dropped one of the smaller ones. The funny part was that we both thought that he had missed. I was videoing him telling the camera about his miss when we heard the bird flopping on the crest of the hill. The rest of the video is him grinning ear to ear with his proud uncle hooting an hollering. Clint is a great kid, very soft spoken and prior to this he had never had any hunting influence. I believe that he is now hooked. The bird wieghed 18 lbs, 10 7/8 inch beard, and 3/4 inch spurs. I'll post a photo when they get developed. Special thanks to a great friend who allowed us to hunt his new farm. Thanks Buddy, this is one of my most memorable hunts to date!
