Grey Wolf Woolens

Hey Guys,
Muddy turned me on to this site, said I could get some good information/feedback on Grey Wolf Woolens products from the members here. I read a bunch of posts already but still looking for more input

I am looking to make a purchase, I think I am going with the Fall Grey pattern in the Wolfskin material in what looks like a pair of bibs and a pullover. I am looking for info on wether to go with just the comfortmax insulation or the comfortmax/liteloft combo as well as feedback on any accesories or modification/improvements people have made when ordering their garments that might not be listed on their website

Also curious if anyone is using grey wolf woolens gear in conjunction with a Heater Body Suit at all

Would greatly appreciate feedback from anyone who has used their garments on what you have and how you like it

Also if you could change anything about your order what would it be?

Thanks
Gibby

I think if you used GWW with a HBS you'd better hope you're in the Antarctic.

Welcome to Iowawhitetail.

First of all, welcome to the site! :way:

I've had the GWW pullover for 4-5 years now. I went with FG wolfskin with lite loft insulation. I wear a few layers underneath and with the pullover stay plenty warm while on stand. I went with the extra drawstring, rangefinder pocket on chest and 3 sleeve surpression straps to reduce the bulk on the bow arm. These were based on feedback from this site at the time.

I carry it on my pack wrapped around a tree stand and climbing sticks so it helps quiet things down. Definitely a good investment and one that will last when taken care of. Now only if the fall season would get cold enough where I could where it more often. :D

Love my Gray Wolf stuff! The only knock that I have against GW is that it tears easily. Just be careful if you have to cross fences. I love my GW gear and wouldn't trade it.

Hell Jake, carhartts tear on barb wire!

Mine have held up remarkably well but I'm also not plowing through briars and I really take my time over barbed wire or other obstacles.

Gibby, do a search for gray wolf woolens on the site and you will find all the information you need, that's what I did when I posted links over on the other site. Be proactive as it could take a couple weeks to get the info you want this slow time of year on the site.

Do a comparison with King of the Mountain and Sleeping Indian as well. I wear all king of the Mountain wool for late season and Muzzy season and IMO it is hands down the best clothing you can buy. You won't find it in Predator camo which I know alot of guys on here swear by. I have heard nothing but good thing about GWW, but just letting you know that there are some alternatives out there! Pricey, but worth every penny :way:
