Iowa Boy At Heart
After turkey hunting in a ground blind last spring and again harvesting my first deer from one last week, I've come to the conclusion that I'm ready for one of my own, especially for sitting on stock tanks out here without having to borrow friends' blinds. Plus, it will help when I start taking my daughter hunting more seriously so she can have a little more comfort and room to move, making it more fun for both of us. My question is this: Is the $300 worth it for the Double Bull Dark Horse? Or are there other blinds out there that are good quality at a lesser price? I was looking at the Primos Predator Den blind at Cabela's (Cabela's exclusive?) for $150 (now on sale for $99). It has overall pretty close reviews to the Double Bull (4.4 vs 4.6 stars/five stars). The main con with the Predator Den is zipper problems and the main con I read about the Double Bull is difficulty setting it up. My BIL's blind was an Eastman of some sort, but I can't find those much of anywhere on the internet to read reviews, etc. It was a good blind to hunt out of. My wife is talking about getting me one for Christmas and pretty much said, if she gets me the Double Bull, that will be the only present I get. I don't really care how many presents I get, I'm just wondering if the Double Bull is really worth the money or if there are other good/high quality blinds that can be had for much less $$. Thanks, guys!
