what do you use when hunting a large field?

myself I use a folding chair with shooter sticks- all fits in chair carrying case 'over the shouder strap'

I usually set up in a wind row on the side of the field 'just back up against the brush'
I have found it is easy to set up in less then a minute and it keeps your tail off the ground or having to look for something to sit on-

placed butt of gun in cup holder barrel in X of shooter sticks and sit back

and when the Deer comes out

I have had Deer walk within 5 feet of me just sitting there

I always hunt out of a tree, anywhere i hunt, occaisonally i will sit on the ground if i absolutely have to with a gun, otherwise 20+ feet up in a tree

I almost always hunt the ground too. While its probably not the best odds for harvesting a deer i like the extreme up close and personal action that you get when hunting this way. Very fun and highly mobile style of hunting.

"RUN AND GUN" boys!!!! ain't no time for sittin' when you got a gun in you're hand. remember while holding a gun "IT'S MUCH MORE FUN TO RUN AND GUN", but still practice safety

I hunt out of my ground blind using a 5-gallon camo bucket with a Crazy Creek chair on top.
