I thought I'd add a few comments about harvesting does.
Since some bucks have obviously shed some antlers and there are still people trying to fill doe tags, here are a few things to remember when trying to fill that tag.
1)Carry binoculars! Studying a deer with binocs will almost eliminate harvesting a shed buck!
2) Don't shoot large deer that are by themselves, there's a good chance it's a shed buck.
3)look for a "blocky" head. These are typically shed bucks.
4)Try not to shoot yearlings. There's a 50% chance it's a button buck.
Lastly, try to get close to your game. This will ensure quick/clean harvests and should virtually eliminate any accidental buck harvests.
