GOT AN EMAIL TODAY WITH THIS UNBELIEVABLE THING. I DON'T KNOW WHEN THIS WAS TAKEN. BUT THE EMAIL SAY'S IT WAS SHOT ON A RANCH IN WISCONSIN. A QUICK SCORE PUT'S HIM AT 265 TO 280. THAT WOULD BE A NEW SCI RECORD. FOR ONE THING...........WHAT IS SCI? I ASSUME IT IS SOME KIND OF MANAGED OR PEN RAISED DEER ORGAINIZTION.

Yep, that is also a pen raised deer from Wisconsin if I remember correctly. There is a web site for this farm that displayed a number of monsters and this second photo was one of them.

If memory serves me, SCI believes in "honoring" all antler, meaning that there are NO deductions in scoring a rack. Thus, scores run high, without the deductions for lack of symmetry.

The rack is pretty cool, but I know I wouldn't take any satisfaction in killing a pen raised deer. It would be just about as exciting to go down to the cattle lot and shoot a steer! IMO that guy just has too much $$. Maybe he has to overcompensate for his shortcomings!

The web site that I saw had that same man and boy with several other deer of similar quality. I wonder if the deer are dead? Might just be druged for one reason or another. I think I'd want my picture take with them for fun.
