Here is what I'm wanting to know if this would work the way I want it to?

I want to be able to pack my stand and other stuff in. Hang my stand. All this in light clothing so I don't sweat my arse off. Put on a sweatshirt and be able to sit 10 hrs at 25 degree temps and not get cold. Can it do this or am I asking too much?

If I have to pack a heavy outter layer plus a HBS it's not for me.

Also what kind of boots work best with a HBS? Sometimes I have to cross creeks so rubber boots are required. Is that an issue.

If this will keep me from packing outter layers = less gear for a lighter more efficient setup is what will sell me.

What camo to get it in now that they are not Predator now?

That would be no problem. I sat in a long sleeved t-shirt and sweat pants with my regular hunting boots on in 10 degree weather for 8 or so hours. I was however in a double bull so that would make a difference. But, I don't think 25 degrees would be a problem. They are kind of a P-I-T-A to pack out but well worth the hassle in my opinion. I don't use mine much but I am glad I have it when it gets cold. :way:

I have used it in a treestand in colder weather but have never seen the need to sit that long during those times. It's usually late muzzy and am hunting the afternoon for a few hours.

HBS is great for those really cold days on stand. Never really got cold enough to need it last fall but it has kept me toasty many cold days when my hunting buddies were freezing. Backpack straps could be better but make it easy to carry.

So do you guys use it only on really cold days?

Do you have an overheating problem with them?

I really only use mine on really cold days (0 degrees and below)

It all depends on what your tolerance is to the 10 - 30 degree days.

If I get a little toasty I just unzip and let a little air in.

They are a pain in the arse getting into when you are in a stand but with

a little practice they are not so bad.

I also think they help keep your sent confined IMO which also helps.
