Went for a walk yesterday and at the last minute decided to bring along the rifle incase I saw any yotes. I just got into some cover and saw movement to my left. Three yotes jumped up not 30 yards from me. Two dropped into a ravine and the other ran straight away from me into heavy cover. It wasn't a tough shot except for all the brush but I managed to put it down on the 1st shot. I saw one of the other two on top of a CRP field cruising at warp speed from my left to right at 125 yards. I led him by a nose and rolled him with one shot also. Then I saw the 1st one crawling into a nasty patch of multiflower rose so I sent one more into his neck that put him down for good. After doing the 2-step with the multiflower rose I got it pulled out to find it was a female. So that was good. I walked up to where the second dropped and he wasn't there but the trail was easy to follow. He was on three legs and losing lots of blood. But he did manage to make it to the bottom of the hill and into the river. I scanned the opposite side for him and then spotted him against the bank 100 yards down stream. He didn't make it across. I wasn't to keen on wading across what looked like chest high water so he stayed where he was. Didn't find any sheds but it was my alot of fun and my 1st double on yotes.
I seem to be having a problem uploading a picture so I'll post it when I figure it out
