What I cant believe is that he hit both the guy and the dog and killed them both. HMMMMMMMMM.

I saw this in the Times yesterday, and was wondering how this happened. If it was one shot then the guy must have been holding the dog or something? If it was two shots it dosen't sound like much of an accident. I didn't see anything about it in today's paper. Curious to see what they release about the investigation.
 
It says while shooting at a deer he hit the man and the dog. If they were walking thru, i really doubt if any deer were anywhere closeby. I bet thats his story and he's stickin to it. Sad.
 
It doesn't make sense that both man and dog were killed. I'm sure that's an error in the story? If it is in fact true then I would tend to believe the accident theory is out. Pretty hard to hit a person AND a dog, kill them both, and then claim you were aiming at a deer.
 
Todays Times has a story about the victim and his dog, but the police didn't release anything new.
 
I would think it would be a good thing if we didn't suggest any hypothetical theories about this incident in a public forum. Let’s wait until the FACTS are released before we pass judgment...
 
I heard the dog was "put down" by law enforcement so the medics could get to the victim.
