High School Trap!

Well... we had our first tournaments this weekend. Our first was in Cedar Falls and it was a blast. Out of 87 teams, we placed 20th (not bad for a newcomer) it was really neat. they had 31 trap boxes in a row for about a mile! It was nuts!!

Today we had another shoot in Newton. Not many youth shooters but enough to make a few high school teams. I cant think of the name rite now, but a town Maquota (i believe that is somewhere close) was there at the Newton shoot. They were at the Cedar Falls High School Trap Shoot and ended getting 4th place. At the Newton shoot.. our team KNEW we had to beat these guys. Out of 250 clays, their team shot 194. Our whole team did AWESOME! We shot a 197 of 250! Damn good? I'd say so... but nevertheless, we took home first place today! Awesome job to Oskaloosa High School for only our second Tournament!

We have another tournament tomorrow against Pella (Our high school rival) and im sure this will be interesting! Just thought id let ya guys know how we did!!

btw.... Im burnt to a crisp!

I'm glad to see some schools promoting shooting sports instead of telling everyone how bad guns are

THA4... Practice makes.. not perfect (sometimes but not always) but practice makes better! Thats what i have to say... i shot 18's out of 25 and now im shooting 23's and 24's!

It is a blast... we are trying to get the school to support us 100% but we were put on lockdown last friday due to some irresponsible kids who decide to threaten the schools.. hope that doesnt effect the decisions! It shouldnt tho.. we are waiting for the school insurance approval of a shooting team! Shouldnt be a problem!
