High wind strategies

From the sounds of it, it's going to be quite windy tomorrow. Any suggestions? I would guess that they will be in low areas close to the roost if its gusty early. Possibly a little louder calling maybe necessary? Thanks for the input.

out of the wind strut zones!

Get to places you know where they will be, set up camp, bring a book or a good cell phone game and wait em out!

Good luck!

In the wind, I always find a good wind block, set up there and do a ton of calling. Most of the time, I try to get fairly close to the roost area, if there are any wind breaks close by.

Put the sneak on them. It's way easier to come up on one using your terrain available. With this rain, the ground will be great for opperation stealth...

Super windy day option 1.) Stay home and drink beer

Super windy day option 2.) Get your box call and find a super deep ravine where they go to, and wait for them to arrive.

I guess it depends on what mood you're in.
