HOLDING AT FULL DRAW???

sorry ya'll, i kinda put this in the wrong forum, but i was really curious to see what the different answers might be to these 2 questions.

1. What is the longest period of time that you have held your bow at full draw, without being successful(wether you took a shot or not)

2. What is the longest period of time you have held at full draw, with making your shot successfully.

i know there is really know way to know exact time, for we all don't look at our watch right before we draw and right after we release, but give me best estimated times!

forgot to add my times in there!

1. i once held on a 140-150 class 10 pointer 2 years ago for 64 seconds, if i counted right, only to never get off a shot because of already swirling winds and was picked off.

2. held for about 50 seconds on a doe in the same place as the aforementioned buck, but with a little sweeter ending.

you can bet both of these times seemed like an eternity. i try to count each time i am at full draw, shooting at a deer, to help calm myself down. i don't know if my times are a long time or not, but i have seen some guys on the range hold for up to 3 1/2 minutes(of course at a little less draw weight)

a couple years ago i held on a buck for what seemed to be an eternity, but in reality i don't honestly know. all i do know is that my arm was jerking forward as i held at full draw. when i try to do that on a cardboard target it takes a few minutes before the bow pulls the arm forward. i'd say with the deer it was in the 2 minute range, though, with nerves and adreneline kicking in it may have only been 30 seconds.

oh, it was a 125 class buck (give or take) and i greased him good!

I held at full draw last year for what seemed like forever waiting while a doe that was coming in decided to stop and munch on some plants. I ended up turning slightly and bracing my elbow against the tree, which bought me more time til she came into my shooting lane.

The whole thing lasted maybe two or three minutes???

Shooting 60-70# recurves instinctively....I don't have a clue as to what you mean by that question!
