Hole Blind?

Has anyone ever dug a hole in the ground (as a type of blind) to conceal your body so that you would be shooting your bow from about ground level? I just thought it would be less noticable in areas where blowdowns and other cover were limited.

I did once in a grassy ditch. It worked pretty good, could of shot a few deer, but nothing I ever wanted.

Years ago I did it once in a pasture where the turkeys were strutting. It worked! It was a wierd feeling being below eye level.

I built one once but I dug a hole just deep enough for my legs and I sat on the ground. I built up material around me and it worked very well. A few bucks were shot out of that set up.
