homebrew camera hopes...

I've been reading a lot about how some of you make your own homebrew trail cameras. Well, I have absolutely zero, zip, and zilch talent to make one. I'm about as mechanically inclined as a piece of gravel and was wondering if someone here who is mechanically inclined would consider building one if I gave them the $$$ for the job?

Of course since I just got married a month and a half ago I will probably get shot down by the wife. Maybe I should go with the mentality that since it will be on "sale" for over half off it's ok to purchse it.

Muddy, A wise old man once told me, "It's easier to get forgiveness than permission." I say go for it!

If you can't work something out with Fitzt, then have Jesse from Jesse's Hunting Page solder the cam for you. It is the trickiest part and the cam is the most expensive part in case you screw up. I didn't trust my level of soldering and had Jesse do it.

The rest of the soldering is pretty easy.

I'd be willing to have a get together on a Saturday after turkey season ends to have a camera building party.

I'd like a couple more as well. Maybe we could pay Fitzt to be the designated camera solder person.

Any interest?

I'd be up for a camera party after turkey season...keep that in mind and put up a post around June or so! I'm sure the soldering is easy for the normal person but I'm a bit on the abnormal side...mechanically speaking of course.

By June I could probably have some $$$ saved up too!

Fitz,
Can you make me one too??? Just don't burn it up!!!!!!!! That can get costly......How much do you charge???????
Double Trouble

I think you live very close to me Double trouble.
I don't think you could afford my Rates.

As far as being appointed designated soldering man. Not just NO!!!!! HELL NO!

Double trouble there is jokeing around when he says Just don't burn mine up. I have had my share of trouble in the beginings. Just like learning anything new.
However.
I think I have perfected this Homebrew camera now.

fitzt,

You don't want to solder big ol pile of these together for everybody? Did you get my reply to your e-mail.

I will be glad to make game cameras for anybody who wants one. The cameras are kinda hard to find so if you can find one and mail it to me that would work best. The camera I use is the canon sure shot owl date PF. It sells for around $50 in kmart, target etc.

E-mail me for further details at jasdi@eudoramail.com
