Does anyone think this is a good idea ?? I read about it in an old magazine and threw this thing together at the last minute. It will raise and lower. Just want to know if anyone has tried something like this before and if you had any luck with it?????

We made one to use last weekend and it worked well. The birds were very bunched up and had a tough time with them however, we had favorable responses to numerous jakes and the tom that came in stopped at 15 yards and the shot was missed...

(nerves from shooting at first archery bird). Overall this seemed to work or not bother the birds at all. Here are a couple of pics of version 1.0. version 1.1 will be ready before the start of the season here.

I hope Jake tells you to leave it home, that way he won't have to tell his friends he seen a turkey die of laughter. :&psych
 
I saw one of those once, I called at it for about a half hour

My dad and I were hunting and it was a really sunny day, out in this cornfield about 200 yards was this turkey that kept rotating around every 5 minutes or so and its fan tail kept going up and down, and letting out gobbles. Well after an hour of calling the guys hunting over it got up and moved it

I'm Gonna get some brown paint and modify it a bit. Dont forget to bring me your old fantail so I can rig up my own version 1.1
