Homemade Plot Watcher Option

Just thought I'd post a homemade plot watcher option for you guys that don't have it on your camera. Works pretty good with a camera that has a multi shot or video option.

Step 1: Place camera at edge of plot, field, open area, timber, whatever. Make sure the area gets a good amount of wind/air movement.

Step 2: Place a weed or two in front of camera. If already weedy, leave a few in front of the camera.

Step 3: Turn camera on, preferably on multi shot or video option.

Step 4: Return to camera to find SD card full.

All of these false triggers are about to drive me nuts! I literally have thousands this year. I really need to cut more weeds when I place a camera, more than I think is necessary!

I brought out my battery operated weed whip to clear out camera sites. Worked great and nice and quiet.

Yeah, I've had my pruners with me most times, and cut the weeds I think need to be, but I just need to mow everything down!

Haha, had the same thing happen last week. Funny thing is that the same weeds didn't cause problems until the leaves dropped and weather started to change.

Been there too! But sometimes that's the only tree that works!

My biggest problem is i always forget that tall weed behind the camera that blows in front of it on a windy day.
