Horizontal Rub

I'm thinking about setting up a couple horizontal rubs. Anyone try this with success of getting deer to stop at it? Does it matter what kind of tree or branch I use? I have seen some cool videos about it and it seems like it would be fun to try, super simple, and fun to put a camera on one!

Everyone have always said that the willows work great in general for rubs. Never done this myself but looks very cool
