How do you hunt ridges?

I've been seeing lots of deer along the ridges where I hunt. Of course this is when I am walking to and from my stand down in the valley where I am not seeing deer. Anyway there is not a tall tree anywhere so I was thinking of hunkering down in a small cedar. How do you guys and gals hunt ridges?

I love ridges, I'll sit in a tree on the downwind side of it. Might not cover as much ground but it's worked more than once! If not a tree to hang then dig a hole big enough to give you some foot space. You can sit on the ground with your feet in the hole, it'll be almost like a chair and you won't stress your knees out while doing it.

Are you hunting down in the valley? If you are this is part of the problem of why the deer are up above you. Find a spot on the downwind side of the ridge about 40 yards from the top and build a blind or sit in the brush where you can shoot if there is some since you have no trees for a stand. Most bucks will travel the downwind side below the ridgeline where they can't be seen but can still smell what's on the other side. Make your shot count or your arrows are gone though.
