How do you rate does?

I have come to the opinion that a mature doe (a few years old) is more of a trophy than an immature buck(let's say basket rack). They're definitely smarter animals in my book. I think back to all those times when the old does have given me fits, whether not coming in for a shot or just letting every deer in the immediate area know I was there. Now I know deer hunting means a-lot of different things to everyone, but how do you rate your does?

I hate big old does with a passion, i have one farm that is in city limits and not many people bowhunt them, there is more does in there that you could shake a stick at. some of these does i bet are 10 years old and are pushing 200 pounds dressed. almost all the bucks I see and even the biggger 140 class bucks dont have a body like these does. every night during late muzzle, three huge does come out and search the entire field, if after about 15 minutes they relax, then about 50 more deer will come out and the big boys behind them all dont even look or try to look for danger with those old gals out in the field. and if you get busted you mines as well leave. its been like this the last three years, same old does too, one has only three legs, and ive been trying to get her for three years and havent gotten her within 60 yards yet. i personally think those old does are the ultimate survival machines out there lol

You know those girls are old when they have that big brisket sticking out. Sounds like you have a great place for late season. I hope to locate a place like that, I will not hesitate to put my late bow tag on an old girl if I get the chance. Let's hope for some more snow and a good week of real cold temps to get them out in the fields early.
