how do you scout??

From what i read on these forms, a lot of guys have their own property, or hunt on private property, i hunt on public game lands. So how do you scout, just walk around looking for a good spot, signs, or sit and try to pattern deer.

You can look for bedding areas, rubs, scrapes, watch deer from a high vantage point and see when they are feeding and or traveling, and look for heavy traveled trails. Good luck.
