I'd have to aggree Ironwood...lots of good scenery...all the big bucks in the state come from there..........all that is in southern IA is scrub bucks and yearlings

thanks for the info guys. gosh thats alot of waiting. i shoulda put in this year to get a headstart. oh well. i think they need to start having some kind of landowner preference, like you would get an extra point if you own more than 500 acres. i guess the IDNR knows what they got and they're gonna charge top dollar for it. I think its really a shame that people like our family own large tracts of land and have people living on both sides of the river. the resident landowners get almost all the tags they want and us non res landowners have to shell out $150 just to whack a doe. I'm still putting in though, can't beating the hunting in northeast iowa. just wish everyone else didnt know that

I would have to disagree with you Ironwood and Shredder...and I think moosehunter, M350, and AllamakeeGS would agree with me. Deerslayer why would you want to cross the bridge when you have all of those good deer over there

i don't know why all those wisconsin guys think they have to apply for zone 9 when they have all them HUGE bucks on the east side of the muddy....
