How long will guys sit or whats the longest you have sat in the dark waiting for deer to move on so you can get down and head out? Tonight I probably sat for an hour and 30 minutes in the dark with deer within 30 yards of me. They finally moved on, but I cold still hear deer with probably 60 yards of me as I got down and of course they started blowing.

I sat about 30-45 minutes the last time I hunted waiting for them to move on. I've tried howling like a coyote to scare them off and they just stared at me. lol I ended up having a small buck come in to investigate me as I took down my stand anyway so it didn't matter in the end. I hate to sit too long because I don't always have great cell service so if my fiancé doesn't get a text or call within a couple hours of dark she'll get antsy and probably call in a search and rescue team!
